Apple in October 2026: New Products from iPhone Duo to Mac

Apple’s new products for October 2026 include the foldable iPhone Duo, new Mac computers, home devices, and two iOS updates. According to 9to5mac, they will be unveiled over the coming weeks.

iPhone Duo: Pre-orders Start on 16 October

Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable phone, will open on Friday, 16 October at 5:00 PT. It will be available in over 70 countries and regions, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US, and Vietnam. Sales begin on Friday, 23 October, with the device launching in an additional 28 countries and regions from Friday, 30 October.

9to5mac notes that limited availability is expected for the first foldable model. The same source suggests Apple would not roll out the device in so many markets if it anticipated supply falling significantly short of demand.

New Apple Products in October 2026: Mac, Home, and iPad mini

According to 9to5mac, Apple is also preparing new hardware. The site reports a MacBook Pro or Ultra with a touchscreen display, an iMac with the M6 chip, an updated 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip, a new Apple TV 4K, a home hub called HomePad with a touchscreen display, and an iPad mini. These details currently come from a single source.

idropnews points out that Apple often releases additional hardware in October, so another launch would not be surprising. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman states that MacBooks with touchscreen displays are among the products Apple plans to release by the end of the year. They are expected to be significantly thinner and feature something similar to Dynamic Island instead of a display notch. idropnews mentions the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, rather than M6 Pro and M6 Max, while 9to5mac does not specify the chips. The new generation of Apple chips is manufactured using a 2-nanometre process. The last iMac was released with the M4 chip in October 2024.

iOS 27.1 and iOS 27.2 Arrive in October

The iPhone Duo will launch with iOS 27.1. iOS 27.2 is already in testing and is also expected in October. According to 9to5mac, it will introduce profiles for the Apple TV app on iPhone and iPad, the Dual Capture feature for FaceTime group calls, and expand Siri AI to additional languages. Apple has confirmed that Siri AI will add support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish next month.

The beta version of iOS 27.2 includes a new Health app with Apple Intelligence features, though these are expected to be removed from the final release and return in iOS 27.3.
